Blog 2: Describe something fun or pleasantly unexpected that happened
One fun experience I had at Kings Gym was exploring different cardio machines, some of which we had never even seen before. Throughout the week, we tried all kinds of equipment, and it was fun to see which ones we liked and which ones we didn't. Some of the machines were enjoyable to use, while others we disliked. For example, I hated using the VersaClimber. It felt like there was no way to rest because my arms and legs were constantly moving with no break. It was exhausting and almost frustrating because I couldn't find a rhythm that felt comfortable.
But then the
next day, I used this older Stair Master machine, and I actually loved it. It
definitely felt different because it was more of a climbing motion rather than
just stepping up like on a regular stair. I was surprised by how much I was sweating
after only ten minutes. It didn’t feel like I was working that hard, but clearly
I was. We also tried a few other machines. I don’t remember all their names, but
there was one that I definitely plan to use again. It was like an elliptical,
but you could take much longer strides. That machine was cool because I learned
that depending on how long your stride is, you can target different leg
muscles. I liked being able to experiment and find out what felt best.
Finally,
having the opportunity to try new cardio machines helped me better understand
my personal fitness goals. Cardio has always been an important part of my
workouts. I love spending time burning calories and pushing myself. Trying out
different machines gave me the chance to see what I enjoy and what works best
for me. It was really helpful to figure out which ones I liked and which ones I
didn’t.
How fun to test this equippment and figure out what works for you! I love that this is personal fitness journey :)
